The candle arch Seiffen village impresses with its size. With a width of 60 cm and a height of 35 cm it is eye-catcher in each home. On the base widened to the front in the middle stands the baroque Seiffener church, the landmark of the place. Surrounded by five Kurrendesängern it forms the center of the Schwibbogen. Small golden accents underline the importance of the building. Two chip trees stand between the church and old miners' houses on the left and right. Somewhat smaller trees harmoniously round off the picture at the ends. The art of chip tree engraving is unique and is only mastered by a few wood artists.
Kurrendekinder parade singing through the village
Kurrendekinder are among the best-known figures at the Seiffen Christmas market and in church services, especially during the Christmas season. With their Christmas songs they surprise people and guests in the village. Their appearance is usually the same, with black coats and white collars. Often they hold their song books in their hands.
